Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
REVR is a game about spotting cars. This policy explains what we collect when you play, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
Your account: your email address and a password (or your Apple or Google sign-in), your username, and anything you add to your profile, like a picture and a bio. If you answer the questions when you first open the app, those answers become your starting bio.
Your catches: the photos you take in the app, what car we identified, its rarity, and the XP it earned.
Where you caught a car: when you make a catch, we store a rough location (to about 10 metres) with it. It's private: no other player can see it. We use it to stop cheating (like catching the same car twice nearby) and to place you in your local weekly race.
Pins: if you choose to pin a catch, its location shows on the public map for 24 hours, then disappears. Legendary pins are shown only as a rough area to players without Pro.
What you do with other players: who you follow, the fires and comments you leave, and any reports or blocks you make.
If you joined the waitlist: your email, the username you reserved, your city if you gave it, and where you heard about REVR.
How we use it
To run the game: identify cars, score your catches, run the leaderboards and weekly races, and show your profile, catches and pins to other players.
To keep it fair and safe: check that photos are of real cars, spot cheating, and review content that's been reported.
To remind you about your streak, if you turn reminders on. These are scheduled on your phone; we don't send them from a server.
Who we share it with
Other players see your username, profile picture, bio, rank, catches, comments and any pins you choose to make. They never see your email or the private location stored with your catches.
We use a small number of companies to run REVR, and they only process your data for us: Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and photo storage, and Anthropic's Claude identifies the car in each photo you take. If you buy REVR Pro, Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details.
We'll share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of players or the public.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, under Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, catches, photos, comments, follows, stored locations and waitlist entry. Copies may remain in our backups for a short time before they're overwritten.
Your choices
You can change your profile picture and bio, delete individual catches and comments, choose whether to pin a catch, turn off reminders and location access in your phone's settings, block other players, and delete your account. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to correct or delete it by contacting us.
Children
REVR isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
